He Yan returns home victorious after many years at war. Her father makes an outrageous request. Xiao Jue fails to defend his father's honor.

Years before achieving glory, He Yan donned a mask to enter Xianchang Academy. Now, she enlists at a garrison — but can she hide that she's a woman?

3. Episode 3

After a brief scuffle in the hot springs, He Yan escapes, but not without rousing Xiao Jue's suspicions. He orders Shen Han to spread rumors.

He Yan receives ointment — the same Xiao Jue once gave her at Xianchang Academy — but she's too focused on joining the elite battalion to notice.

As He Yan analyzes the Sun Xiangfu case, she suspects He Rufei is tied to the Battle of Mingshui. Later, her squad drags her to the hot springs.

12. Episode 12

He Yan suspects Hu Yuanzhong is a foreign spy but can't confirm it. After a masked assassin attacks, she finds Ma Damei dead and becomes the main suspect.
